Stanadyne is a global automotive technology leader in engine-based fuel and air management systems. The company was founded in 1876 as the Hartford Machine Screw Company and today has design, engineering and manufacturing facilities in the United States, China, Italy, India, and the UAE.
We crafted a new positioning and messaging strategy for Stanadyne that was captured in a new brand tagline: “Fueling innovation.” We also developed a new visual identity that conveys precision and technology, and clearly positions the company in the same set as competitors and customers such as Ford, GM, John Deere, and Bosch.
Within the first year after the rebrand, Stanadyne were named GM’s ’Supplier of the Year. The “Fuelling Innovation” tagline we created for Stanadyne moved them from looking backwards at their history, to being future focused. New storytelling and messaging around innovation was delivered throughout the new website and collateral materials we created.
One of Stanadyne’s key initiatives was their Prototyping Center – more dramatic, well lit, product photography was introduced to indicate the attention to detail inherent in Stanadyne products. Clear concise templated data sheets were introduced to communicate the features and specifications of each product.
Additional applications of the Stanadyne identity included trade shows and facility signage.
