Rebranding a leader in global sustainability.

TippingGardner developed a cohesive new brand story and messaging matrix for AASHE (The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) – brought to life with a dynamic new brand identity that finally connected AASHE and their STARS program that recognizes educational institutions at the forefront of sustainability.

To help staff understand the new brand, and answer questions from members, we developed a Brand Book that was delivered as both a printed book and digital asset. We also created key pieces of client-facing collateral such as the Annual Report and event flyers.
Working with AASHE’s developer team, TippingGardner created the web templates for their website and weekly AASHE email bulletin. To ensure a consistent look and feel for all AASHE communications. templates such for their PowerPoint presentations were created.
A key driver of the project was to create a more obvious visual connection between AASHE and STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Ratings System) – their flagship recognition program. This visual connection was created by cleverly creating the STARS logo icon from a component part of the AASHE logo.
